Your child is talking to someone you cannot see.
It starts as a message. A friendly stranger. Someone who pays attention. Someone who seems to understand. Over days or weeks, that connection becomes meaningful — and then it becomes a trap.
AI, Digital Blackmail and Coercion is the calm, practical handbook for parents of children ages 8 – 18 who need to understand a crime most families have never heard of. Written in plain language, with no graphic content, this book gives you what you need before, during, and after a crisis.
Inside, you will learn:
-
How this crime works — the four-stage progression from first contact to a demand, explained in clear, behavioral terms
-
Why children do not tell — the shame, the fear, and the isolation that keep a child silent
-
The conversation to have before anything happens — full scripts and fifteen age-appropriate openers
-
The three rules — short enough for a child to remember under pressure
-
The digital hygiene protocol — the six settings that matter, and the twenty-minute family device audit
-
The Family Agreement — a printable document with the no-punishment disclosure clause
-
The First Hour — a step-by-step protocol for the sixty minutes after your child tells you
-
Evidence preservation — what to save, and why the instinct to delete is so damaging
-
Reporting — who to contact, in what order, and what to expect
-
Recovery — the shame spiral, withdrawal, rebuilding trust, and prevention for the long term
This is not a book about technology. It is a book about your child.
You do not need a technical background. You do not need to understand algorithms or code. You need only a willingness to have the conversation and a clear protocol for the moment everything changes.
The first hour is survivable. You are not too late. And a child who tells you is a child who trusts you.
Includes a page written directly to your child, printable protocol cards, and a glossary of safe terms.
