From the Author:
New York's fascinating history, neighborhoods and crime
I’ve lived in New York City most of my adult life, met my husband and raised my daughters here, but in some ways I remain a small town girl at heart. I am fascinated by New York’s rich history and the endless variety of the experiences it offers. I loved writing Digging Up Death because it gave me a chance to use all those enthusiasms, as well as my life long interest in archaeology. Some interesting secondary characters obligingly turned up on the page, too. Though the crimes could perhaps take place in any city where land is scarce and valuable, I hope I’ve made it a real New York story, as my first book, Murder at the Class Reunion, was, essentially, a "you have to go home again" story. I’m half way through the next one, which will be about the undying impact of 1960’s politics on several lives. I welcome reader’s comments.
