Final leaf in a 2 pp. publisher advertisement.Octavo (9-1/4" x 5-1/2"). Contemporary calf, blind fillets to boards, lettering piece and blind fillets to spine. Light rubbing and a few shallow scuffs to boards, moderate rubbing to extremities and spine, boards and preliminaries partially detached, wear to spine ends and corners. Moderate toning to text, somewhat heavier in places, occasional light foxing, early owner signature (Geo. Kerr) to front pastedown. $100. * Only edition. One of the most ambitious and admired works of its time, the Modern Reports began as a four-volume set issued from 1682 to 1703. Thomas Leach edited the books and republished them in 1793-1796.
