Difficult Death by René Crevel. Translated and introduced by David Rattray, with a foreword by Salvador Dalí. Advance Uncorrected Page Proof issued by North Point Press prior to publication. Blue printed proof wrappers. The first English translation of Crevel's important Surrealist novel. A scarce pre-publication issue. Wraps lightly handled with minor wear and age toning. Publisher's publication information sheet laid in. Some crossings out on the cover, presumably by the publisher, and dates in pencil. Contents otherwise clean and unmarked. An attractive example of an uncommon Surrealist proof publication.
