Two quaint fellows Red and Mr. Green, each one has Differences that can plainly be seen. One lives here and the other lives there, one is big and the other is small, one is short and the other is tall. Everything about them is nothing but different, but is that really a bad thing after all?

Acclaimed author and illustrator Julian De La Mora presents a story that shows that every person is unique and well, Different! Whether there are different shapes, sizes, or even colors everyone is different in their own special way. Differences is the colorful story that helps highlight and shows why our Differences really make the world colorful.

Our dynamic red and green duo start off their journey on opposite sides, each of them stating every reason in which they are different and every reason why they could never be around one another, let alone be friends. However, as they and the reader come to learn, perhaps those very same differences should be embraced and something that separates us can bring us together.

By showing children a story in which they and the characters learn why to embrace their differences rather than being told they will come away with the message of embracing all differences, whether they be physical, ethnic, or opinionated.

If you are looking for the perfect book to ease the idea of equality or a colorful good read for children 3-5 or 6-8, look no further than Differences. Don't be surprised if this rhyming colorful romp quickly becomes a favorite that your little ones will ask to read again and again.
