There are few illnesses that require so much self-monitoring and understanding by the patient as diabetes, and food quality and quantity is a vital aspect of diabetic control.
In this book a specialist in the natural approach to treating diabetes gives helpful advice on the diabetic's central problem: food selection. The emphasis is put on natural whole foods and vitamins and minerals of special value in the control of diabetes. It includes:
• various suggested diets for the diabetic
• a range of sample carbohydrate-counted meal plans
• a diet for both juvenile and adult diabetes
