Tall 8vo, i-xvi, 168 pp, 18 black and white illustrations from early drawings. Original purple cloth rather discoloured on the boards and the spine with uneven fading to the back board. Contents are very clean. The revised second edition , expanded and containing illustrations which were absent in the first edition. Loosely inserted is a typed letter from the publisher W H Barrell Ltd of Portsmouth regarding the book and forwarding 6 copies to an Arthur Jelly of Ryde. The second paragraph reads "This is a New Edition which you will notice has been illustrated and we feel will be of much interest to the better class of Visitor to the Island".
