Neuware - Hook: A window onto a city in upheaval and memory, where London's streets breathe with plague, court gossip, and daily life. Diary Of Samuel Pepys - Volume 32: December 1664 is a vivid, personal historical memoir brought back to life for today's readers. This volume lets you witness the restless energy of restoration London through Pepys's own notes, weaving encounters with plague, naval and city commerce, and the bustling social world into a singular, human narrative. It's more than a diary; it's a core primary source diary that invites historical research readers and classroom study alike to engage with the sensory detail, the humour, and the moral uncertainties of seventeenth century England. Pepys's December 1664 entries illuminate a pivotal era: the fragility of public life, the resilience of urban communities, and the weathered splendour of restoration London. The book's form-intimate, day-by-day observation-offers a compelling bridge between literary reverence and scholarly curiosity. It rewards casual readers with vivid scenes and memorable characters, while serving as a crucial reference for collectors and researchers seeking related seventeenth century diaries and context for broader historical study. Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions. Restored for today's and future generations. More than a reprint - a collector's item and a cultural treasure. A must for lovers of historical diary writing, early modern England, and rigorous cultural storytelling.…
