1588. The Spanish Armada lies in ruin, and Captain Francisco Butero is cast ashore on the savage coast of Ireland, a hunted man in a land that shows no mercy.
Branded an enemy by the English crown and blamed for failures not his own, Francisco is pursued relentlessly by ruthless soldiers determined to claim the bounty on his head. But the danger doesn’t end there. Ireland is torn apart by warring clans, where loyalty is fleeting and betrayal is often the price of survival.
Driven by faith and the burning need to return to his family in Spain, Francisco must endure more than the brutality of war and nature. He must confront the gnawing belief that he has been abandoned—or worse, punished for a crime he did not commit.
Outnumbered, outgunned, and hunted at every turn, each step toward home could be his last.
In a world where gold can buy betrayal and mercy is a weakness, survival demands more than courage—it demands sacrifice.
Perfect for fans of Bernard Cornwell, Griff Hosker, and Peter Gibbons, Devil’s Island is a gripping, action-packed historical adventure of faith, vengeance, and the relentless fight to make it home.
