He refuses to work with individuals who are not truthful and has turned down millions of dollars from wealthy dishonest individuals. However, when the most unlikely being calls for assistance, Wilton's principles of truth and honesty are put to the ultimate test. The world celebrates as it is announced that Satan is finally captured and charged for being the source of all evil on the planet. Following the arrest of Satan, Wilton is soon contacted by Satan and asked to be his lawyer. Being taken aback by this request, Wilton begins a dialogue with Satan that has him confused yet intrigued. Satan proclaims his innocence but Wilton is not convinced. Satan then presents Wilton and his staff a challenge to find five evil acts he has committed in the Holy Bible. Wilton accepts the challenge and promises to meet Satan if they cannot find five evil acts. Wilton and his co-workers begin a deep and heated dialogue regarding the merits of Satan's case. As they explore the bible to dissect Satan's involvement within the scriptures, emotions begin to run high and tempers begin to boil. Unable to complete the task, Wilton keeps his promise and meets Satan at the prison. During his conversation with Satan, Wilton finds him to be honest, but uncovers a truth that has his world turned upside down as the conversation stretches the limits of his mind. As word gets out that Satan has been communicating with the law firm Wilton & Associates, the lives of Wilton and his colleagues are forever changed as they become infamously labeled ?The Devil's Defense? Their beliefs are challenged and their faith is tested as they confront family and friends who question their association with Satan. The Devil's Defense is a short novel (35,000 - word) for Personal Growth and Development. This story will have readers mystified and galvanized, as the dialogue explores the realms of religion, science and mythology. Avid readers of the bible will be challenged on scriptures once considered easily explained, and non readers of the bible will develop the desire to review the scriptures of old. But more importantly this book will encourage each reader to enhance their perspective of God, because masked within the storyline and dialogue is a call for Oneness, Love, and Truth.
