A forbidden love. A perfect villain. And a duke who will burn the world down to protect her.
Bayleigh Albright never meant to fall for him.
Benedict Ashford, Duke of Kinrose, is her brother’s closest friend—brooding, controlled, and far too dangerous for her heart. He’s always kept his distance. Always done the honorable thing.
Until the night he kisses her.
Until the moment he realizes walking away might destroy them both.
But London doesn’t reward reckless love.
It rewards sensible matches.
And everyone agrees the charming, spotless Lord Barnaby Wright is the perfect husband for Bayleigh.
Polite. Respected. Impeccable.
Too impeccable.
Because Benedict knows men like Wright don’t exist—not without secrets… and not without blood in their past.
When whispers turn to threats and Bayleigh becomes the target of a man who refuses to lose what he considers his, courtship turns into a hunt. Now Benedict must uncover the truth before it’s too late—before London society traps her in a life she never chose… or worse.
Because this time, he isn’t walking away.
He isn’t being noble.
He isn’t letting her go.
And any man who tries to touch what’s his
