Synopsis:

The Devil Dreams in The Darkness is a sexy existential adventure, doped with debaucherous mockery of the human condition. A man named Mundy finds himself lost in a world called The Darkness, where fellow inmates are confined to designer prison cells built of a single terrible memory from a life they otherwise no longer remember. Enduring the malevolence that plagues him and discovering friendship along the way, Mundy faces perils far stranger and more wicked than his own shameful past. All of it leads him toward one terrifying and unavoidable truth: In order to find his way back to the light, Mundy must endure The Glow, a soul-punching plunge that will send him far deeper into The Darkness than any other prisoner has ever dared wander.

About the Author: Brendan R. Van Valkenburgh is a hack writer living in Alaska. He was born in Seattle, Washington, in 1980 and was raised in the San Juan Islands. The young twerp cultivated a wild imagination there amidst the trees, waves and unique island culture. In addition to writing, Brendan works as a Massage Therapist and Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist. Most of his free time is spent with his family, writing music, inventing werds, or whipping up dank munchie-type-shit in the kitchen. His interests include dwarves, nudity, analytical observations of psychosocial behavior, and poop jokes—though not in that order. Mr. Van Valkenburgh is on the cusp of publishing a colorful spectrum of literary smut that is likely to be hailed either as roguishly brilliant or certifiably insane—works of genius that will stump the world with their ingenuity or become quite handy during an unfortunate deficit of bog roll in the privy. Brendan currently lives with his family, a bitch named Walter, Marcie the goldfish, and an imaginary Cuban named Hank in a cute little shack beside the freeway in Anchorage.
