Many countries in northern Europe have seen a huge expansion in development-led archaeology over the past few decades. Richard Bradley is Emeritus Professor of Archaeology at Reading University. Recent publications include: Temporary Palaces, A Comparative Study of Rock Art in Later Prehistoric Europe, The Prehistory of Britain and Ireland (revised edition 2019), and A Geography of Offerings.

Leo Webley is Head of Post-Excavation at Oxford Archaeology South. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has published widely on the European Bronze and Iron Ages. He is currently a council member for the Prehistoric Society.
