Architect Adventurer Albert B. Squid needs your help to design a house for some new clients. His schedule is out of control and needs you to help him come up with a design from scratch. If you take on the job, you will be working as Squid’s partner and together will come up with a concept from what the client's needs are, combined with the unique site location details. Under Squid’s guidance you will draw concept sketches, a floor plan layout, elevation & cross-section drawings, perspective drawings, and finally, build an actual model with pre-sized cut-out model pieces and instructions from Squid.
ABOUT: Let’s Design A House Series
Prolific Architect Adventured, Albert B. Squid, has designed a series of interactive architect role-playing books to introduce kids to conceptual design and creating a house from working with fictitious clients and their needs to learning how the site can also affect its design. Each house in the book series is in a different (actual) location in the world, which comes with real coordinates that can be found online to get a better feel for the site. Not only that but there is a section of each book in the series that gives the history and facts about the particular site that will influence the overall design. Kids will work with the drawings as Squid guides them along the design path of creating a house from an original concept to the final house design adding their own ideas along the way.

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
