As the title states, the object of this work is the Design of an Auxiliary Gas Producer Power Plant for the University of Illinois.
This plant is to Operate as an auxiliary to the steam power plant and is designed to furnish power during the summer or at any other time that the regular plant is shut down, or when more power is needed than can be furnished by the regular plant.
Since the plant depends entirely upon producer gas for it power, it is thought wise to give such explanations as will make clear the theory of producer gas and the mechanical construction of the producer apparatus and its Operation.
Desirable sites for the plant were carefully looked over and their advantages and dis-advantages discussed.
