"It has not been my intention to compile a complete bibliography of Engraving," Mr. Levis tells us in the introduction, "but to describe the most important, interesting, or rare books in the English language on the subject (together, of course, with some which are unimportant), and show their development and the relation between them" (p. x) A reprint of the original text and illustrations, which appeared in 1912 and 1913. VG (Name of former owner written on top of first flyleaf.).

Mullen Books maintains a very active computerized inventory which grows by 2-300 titles per week. Our specialties include the Humanities, with an emphasis on Art, Architecture, Photography, Decorative Arts, History, as well as Periodicals related to those areas. We have very rare as well as fairly common titles. Current inventory is approximately 79,000 titles. We have about 1000' of backlog in our specialties numbering over 30,000 items (including 20,000+ smaller and ephemeral catalogues devoted to individual artist exhibitions). Current stock occupies over 2.3 miles of shelving. We are active buyers as well as very active sellers, and supply entire reference libraries as well as individual titles. We ship books almost everywhere, with the exception of China due to restrictions. Our website mullenbooks.com maintains our entire database of over 150,000 titles dynamically, so you can submit "wants" for books which are listed, but not currently in-stock. It is a major research tool. Despite what Google may indicate, we are only open to visitors by appointment, as our schedules are dynamic depending upon the needs of our valued employees.
