Paperback. For twelve-year-old Preksha, her little corner of the world had always felt permanent. It was the only home, the only school, and the only life she had ever known. Until it wasn't. When her father's transfer turns her world upside down, she finds herself counting down the final days of a childhood she isn't ready to leave behind. As goodbye follows goodbye, she begins to realize that growing up isn't always about moving forward. Sometimes, it's about learning what it means to let go. Heartfelt, nostalgic, and deeply relatable, The Departure is a coming-of-age novella about childhood, friendship, first feelings, and the memories that follow us long after we've left them behind. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our Sydney, NSW warehouse or from our UK or US warehouse, depending on stock availability.
