Cream card embossed with gilt US emblem and calligraphic black text 19x13cm. Near fine. The text reads: "Mr Richard W. Murphy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs, requests the pleasure of your company at a reception in honor of His Excellency Abdulla Yacoub Bishara, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council on Monday the twenty-second of September [1990] from seven to nine o'clock, Diplomatic Reception Rooms, Department of State, 2204 C Street NW, Washington DC, RSVP by September 15th, Business Attire". Bishara, a Kuwaiti diplomat, was the GCC's first Secretary General (1981-93). Provenance: unstated, but this came from a US Treasury Department staff member who helped launch the US-Saudi Arabian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation in Washington DC, and accompanied Baker on his visits to Saudi Arabia to mobilise the coalition against Iraq.…

Shipping terms
SHIPPING: Domestic and international shipping is tracked and insured with UPS. This has unfortunately meant an increase in domestic rates especially, and in most cases I am absorbing some of the increase. (I have moved away from Royal Mail owing to a series of problems).
DELIVERY DEADLINES: If you have a hard deadline for receipt that is before the processing time stated on Abe, eg, if you need it to arrive urgently before you travel or before a particular event, please contact me at the time of order to advise, so options can be discussed and steps taken to ensure it gets there in time.
RETURNS: Please return any items for refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, and contact me first with the reason for the return to establish whether postal costs will be included in the refund. If the item is not as described, I will cover the original and return post.
