The book on dental articulators explains their purpose, design, classification, and clinical applications in prosthodontics. It describes how articulators help in mounting dental casts to study occlusion, plan restorations, and fabricate complete and partial dentures with accuracy. The book discusses different types of articulators, including simple hinge articulators, mean value articulators, semi-adjustable, and fully adjustable articulators. It explains the principles of jaw relations, hinge axis, condylar guidance, Bennett movement, and incisal guidance. Emphasis is given to facebow transfer and its role in correctly relating the maxillary cast to the hinge axis of the articulator.Clinical significance, advantages, limitations, and selection criteria of articulators are also covered.
