Meet the demon Rogatio in this first book of the Demonic Bible as he reads the Book of Genesis and asks the angel Fides Certum what the hell it’s all about. With Christian Nationalists dominating all three branches of the US federal government and driving it toward fascism, it's high time that we reconsider what Christianity is really all about, and there's nobody like a demon to help us break free of conventional interpretations of religion. The Demonic Bible explores the Christian Bible from the point of view of its most neglected characters, the demons. As the symbolic embodiment of marginalized voices, demons have the ability to ask critical questions that pious believers have been wondering about for centuries, but are too frightened to speak out loud. In the Demonic Bible, the original biblical text is interrupted by a cartoon demon and angel, who have an honest debate about the characters and ideas that are presented through familiar Bible stories. With a bit of humor and a touch of sacrilege, the Bible becomes a much more dynamic and relevant document. The blasphemy of a demonic voice liberates the Bible from stifling sanctimony. Do you dare to converse with demons? Believers who are going through a crisis of faith may find in the pages of the Demonic Bible the material for a more mature religious identity. Christians experiencing a deconstruction can find reflections of their experience in these pages, along with the material from which to reconstruct a post-Christian version of their lives. There are remarkable surprises to be found in the Bible, under the honest guidance of a critical demon. The sexual adventures of Abraham demolish the idea that biblical marriage only consists of a union between one man and one woman. Noah's curse of his son Ham is revealed to be the ideological origin of the terrible institutions of slavery and racist intolerance. The greed of Joseph provides a template for the cruelty of DOGE under Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Of course, the Bible is a very long book, and the addition of diabolical commentary makes it even longer. For this reason, The Demonic Bible is divided into many separate books, which is being published as a series. This first book is the first installment, covering the first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis. Unconventionally, the next book to be released in the Demonic Bible series will be the final book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation.
