nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The book presents a detailed assessment of rural urban interaction by adopting a series of criteria resulting into a region known as Umland as its focus of study. It offers the base for investigating the unserved areas which would provide the basis for a new strategy for expansion of infrastructure and other socio-economic facilities. The book will be of interest to the researchers who are exploring changing rural and urban linkages and their combined effect on diversified economy of rural and urban areas. It will be also useful for government at various levels, development agencies and policy makers especially of the developing countries in supporting economic growth of rural as well as urban areas in particular and of the nation in general. Besides, it opens doors for various studies-recently undergoing-based on different aspects of fringe and peri-urban areas.
