Item description from seller

Felix Summerly's Home Treasury series. 8vo (163 x 120 mm.), publisher's red cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in blind. Pp. vii, 152. 24 hand-coloured plates after Everdingen as called for. One of the plates (opposite page 64) has wear to the edges (see image) and has apparently been detached from the book and then re-attached. All plates except the frontispiece (which has a neat owner's inscription on verso) have their original tissue guards. The edges of the text block are not quite uniform, suggested that it may have been refixed to the spine at some time, though the volume has not been rebacked. The original front free endpaper is missing, and has sometime been replaced. There is minor splitting to the cloth on the upper joint. Aside from these faults, this is a clean copy with plates in very good condition.
