Paperback. "I will find my daughter, even if I have to burn this city to the ground." Caspian's time is running out. Accused with Hanna's kidnapping, he searches for a way to level with her father. But he won't hear any of it. Caspian must make Captain Burton see that he isn't the enemy they're looking for. In fact, the enemy is closer than he realizes. To regain his trust will take all Caspian has. But there's little he can offer. The Isle isn't coming for him, he's on his own. Facing the omens of his future, Caspian must make a choice: fight against fate, or let it come to pass. Hanna's clock is ticking. Still reeling from the truths she's uncovered, she's about to face more. Trapped in an unfamiliar place, Hanna must fight against her captors at all costs. But her strength begins to wane as they violently toy with her heart and head. Insisting their cause is the one to follow, Hanna questions whether anyone is coming to save her. Can she hold onto the hope that help is on the way? Or will she give in to their callous demands? Fate has a special place for her, but is she willing to take it? Captain Burton is out for blood. Betrayed by those he trusted with his daughter's life, he is done playing it safe. The lines between justice and revenge begin to blur as he searches desperately for Hanna. Help appears from an unlikely source, but he's hesitant to take it. Will he continue to be deceived? Can he bring himself to trust those he's hated since his wife's accident?
