Break Free from the Hidden Beliefs That Keep You Stuck
Adults with ADHD face more than forgotten appointments and missed deadlines. Deep beneath the surface lie core beliefs formed in childhood—beliefs that whisper "you're defective," "you'll always fail," or "you're fundamentally flawed." These are schemas, and they drive the shame, anxiety, and self-sabotage that no productivity system can fix.
Schema therapy offers a proven path to lasting change.
This practical self-help guide introduces schema therapy specifically adapted for the ADHD brain. Inside, you'll discover how early experiences created patterns of thinking that no longer serve you—and learn concrete strategies to heal them.
What You'll Learn:
Identify Your Core Schemas - Recognize the Defectiveness/Shame, Failure, Emotional Deprivation, and other schemas driving your struggles
Understand Schema Modes - Discover why you swing between harsh self-criticism, emotional shutdown, and impulsive reactions—and how to find balance
ADHD-Adapted Exercises - Complete practical activities designed for how your brain actually works, with short segments, flexible formats, and built-in progress tracking
Break Destructive Patterns - Learn to interrupt cycles of avoidance, people-pleasing, overcompensation, and self-sabotage that keep you trapped
Heal Relationships - Apply schema awareness to improve connections at home, work, and in your social life
Move Beyond Symptoms - Stop just managing ADHD and start building a life aligned with your authentic values and strengths
Built for the Neurodivergent Brain
Every exercise includes ADHD-friendly formatting with visual breaks, time estimates, and multiple completion options. This isn't another book telling you to "just focus harder"—it's a neurodiversity-affirming approach that honors how your mind works.
From Shame to Strength
Schema therapy addresses the root causes of emotional pain in adults with ADHD. By understanding and healing your core schemas, you'll develop genuine self-compassion, build authentic confidence, and create lasting change from the inside out.
Topics Covered:
Core schemas including Defectiveness/Shame, Failure, Emotional Deprivation, Social Isolation, and more
Schema modes and the "Ableist Critic Mode" unique to neurodivergent experiences
Behavioral experiments and pattern interruption strategies
Limited reparenting and self-compassion practices
Imagery rescripting and cognitive techniques adapted for ADHD
Workplace accommodations and relationship communication tools

You deserve more than just coping strategies. You deserve healing.
Stop battling symptoms and start addressing the deeper beliefs that fuel your struggles. With schema therapy tailored for adult ADHD, you can finally move beyond the checklist and build the authentic, fulfilling life you've been searching for.
