He is known for his extensive writings on Hindu revivalism, Indian history, Indo‑European origins, and comparative religion. He is one of the most prolific Western writers on Hindu political thought and has produced influential — and often controversial — works on topics such as the Ayodhya dispute, Aryan migration debates, and Hindutva ideology.
