Print on Demand. This book presents a lively debate between two religious scholars on the correct mode and subjects of Christian baptism. The author invites readers to explore the primary, classical meaning of the Greek word baptizo alongside its New Testament usage. Through meticulous examination of lexicons, Church histories, and biblical passages, the author argues that the term does not exclusively refer to complete immersion but rather signifies submersion in a liquid element. The book delves into the historical practices of the early Church, shedding light on the evolution of baptism from its initial form to the sprinkling and pouring methods prevalent today. By distinguishing between the primary meaning of the term and its application within the context of Christian baptism, this book challenges the notion that immersion is the sole legitimate mode of baptism. The author's insights provide a nuanced understanding of this important Christian sacrament and its significance throughout history. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
