But hours later, Vivian is dead at her desk, and the poison came from inside Sadie's own kitchen. With her health permit revoked, her bakery sealed behind police tape, and her name at the top of the suspect list, Sadie has ninety days to save her business and a lot less time than that to save herself. Between a furious antique dealer with a public grudge, a slick corporate partner who stands to inherit everything, and a nervous assistant who grows poison in her own backyard, half the town has a reason to want Vivian gone.Armed with nothing but a suspect board made of butcher paper, a fiercely loyal best friend, and a ginger tabby cat with better instincts than most detectives, Sadie sets out to find the truth hiding behind Oak Ridge Cove's cobblestone charm before the real killer decides she's asked one question too many.Warm, clean, and packed with the smell of fresh-baked cinnamon, Death by Cinnamon Roll is a cozy culinary mystery for anyone who takes their murder with a side of pastry. Death by Cinnamon Roll
A Cozy Bakery Mystery
Sadie Hart makes the best cinnamon rolls on the coast. She never imagined one of them would be used as a murder weapon.
When Sadie delivers her signature warm cinnamon roll to ruthless property developer Vivian Sterling, the same woman who just served Sadie an eviction notice for the bakery her family has run for sixty years, she expects an awkward morning, not a murder. But hours later, Vivian is dead at her desk, and the poison came from inside Sadie's own kitchen.
With her health permit revoked, her bakery sealed behind police tape, and her name at the top of the suspect list, Sadie has ninety days to save her business and a lot less time than that to save herself. Between a furious antique dealer with a public grudge, a slick corporate partner who stands to inherit everything, and a nervous assistant who grows poison in her own backyard, half the town has a reason to want Vivian gone.
Armed with nothing but a suspect board made of butcher paper, a fiercely loyal best friend, and a ginger tabby cat with better instincts than most detectives, Sadie sets out to find the truth hiding behind Oak Ridge Cove's cobblestone charm before the real killer decides she's asked one question too many.
Warm, clean, and packed with the smell of fresh-baked cinnamon, Death by Cinnamon Roll is a cozy culinary mystery for anyone who takes their murder with a side of pastry. Perfect for fans of small-town sleuths, found-family friendships, and a cat who always knows more than he lets on.
A standalone mystery, with a delicious first taste of the Maple Falls Mystery series waiting at the end.
