An award-winning memory journal, filled with over 60 fun and inspiring questions, carefully compiled to make it easy for your grandmother to tell her story and share her wonderful memories and aspirations with you. It’s a priceless gift that’s returned to you once completed!
All in her precious handwriting and on her own or with you, your grandmother can recall moments, funny stories and memories that make up her life. The thoughtful questions are designed to help her enjoy telling her story, describing the past and the present, as well as thinking about the future. Alongside her handwritten memories, there’s also space for her to add photos and memorabilia too.
Once filled in, this journal will be a wonderful record of your grandmother’s story, one that can be treasured forever and passed on to future generations. Grandmothers will enjoy taking the time to fill in this journal to create a lasting record of their life, and grandchildren will enjoy finding out more about her life and getting to know her better. It’s a great way to add life to any family tree, by asking those questions that you may never think or get the chance to ask in everyday life, but the answers to which are invaluable.
Find out how things have changed throughout her life, what she did as a child that is different from today, what her parents were like and what adventures she has had in her life. Discover what your own mother or father was like when they were young! What about your own relationship with your grandmother, what are her favourite memories of the times you have spent together and is there any advice she would like to give you? Everyone has stories to share about their amazing life and it’s so important to find ways to capture and treasure them.
When you get her completed journal returned to you, it’ll be one of the most emotive gifts you’ll ever receive, and therefore this is quite possibly one of the most valuable gifts you’ll ever buy.
Some example questions from this journal:
•Tell me about the time and place you were born . . .
•What were your favourite childhood toys or games?
•What would you do for a night out when you were dating?
•Tell me about a memorable piece of music that you and my grandfather had ‘just for you’ . . .
•How did you feel when you were told you were going to be a grandparent?
•What are the happiest or greatest memories of your life?
Everyone has a story to tell . . .
A great present for your grandmother on her birthday, at Christmas, on Mother’s Day, on Grandparent's Day or just because you care. This guided journal would also be suitable for a grandmother to buy for herself to complete and then give as a gift to her grandchild.
