Before there was The Walking Dead there was Deadworld. One of independent comics longest running series with over 100 issues released and 1,000,000 copies sold to date. Here is a different take on the global zombie apocalypse and in this self-contained Deadworld spin-off story, the action moves to Manhattan. A snow storm has engulfed the New York City and with no snow removal possible, the metropolis becomes paralyzed...even the walking dead have trouble seeking out fresh meat. A group of survivors in the high rises attempt to flee the city during the storm but are pulled into a struggle between two intelligent zombies and their factions. The Giant rules the dead in the city but when King Zombie comes calling, things begin to escalate into a power struggle with the humans caught in the middle. A top notch writer/artist team of Mike Raicht (MAX: Zombie/Marvel Comics, X-Men/Marvel Comics, GI Joe/IDW) with art from Federico Dallocchio (Suicide Squad, Batman) and Rafael Ortiz (Crossed) present the pivotal story.

Mike Raicht has had a very prolific career in writing comics and titles include Marvel's Zombies, Army of Darkness, George RR Martin’s Wild Cards, and dozens of other major titles including his creator owned The Stuff of Legend which was a NY Times best-seller. Federico Dallocchio moved from Deadworld to work on titles for WildStorm such as StarCraft, Call of Duty, and Gears of War. He then moved onto DC to provide art for Suicide Squad, Batman, and Green Arrow. Rafael Ortiz is best known now for his work on Crossed Plus One Hundred, Dan: The Unharmable, and God is Dead.
