From the Bronze Award–winning authors of The Deadwood Chronicles: The Crimson Cage comes the explosive next chapter in the series.
They escaped the overthrow of Dollet and the collapse of The Last Homestead—but freedom comes with a higher price than anyone could have imagined.
Driven across the freezing sea and hunted by enemies both old and new, their desperate journey reveals one brutal truth:
Nowhere is safe.
Ava, her sisters, and the Paragons find themselves caught between rising tyrants, a hostile world, and the past they thought they left behind.
As Mathius’s spreading rule threatens to remake the world in his image, another danger stalks them relentlessly from the shadows. The Ringmaster—cunning, merciless, and obsessed—has not forgotten what was stolen from him. And he will stop at nothing to reclaim what he believes is his.
When they reach Black Bay Docks—a place they hoped would be a safe haven—they instead find a town gripped by its own brand of madness. Will Ava and her family finally meet allies willing to fight back? Or will they, like so many before them, become victims of it?
Their past was built in cages.
Their future will be written in fire.
And the tide is turning.
Perfect for fans of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Shadow and Bone, Turn of the Tides delivers a heart-pounding continuation of The Deadwood Chronicles—where survival is never guaranteed, and family is worth burning the world for.
