Paperback. Jacks, Kate, and their friend Richard are headed to south Texas on a spring birding trip when the report of a very rare bird changes their itinerary. An orange-billed nightingale-thrush-the first record in North America for the species-has been spotted at a national wildlife refuge on the southern Gulf Coast. When the trio arrives, they meet the two top birders in the country, who are locked in a competition to be number one, and they soon learn just how deadly serious chasing rare birds can become. Get to know the birds and the birding locales of south Texas, and meet characters you'll thoroughly enjoy, as you join Kate, Jacks, and Richard on the trip of a lifetime-one packed with rare birds, mystery, and adventure. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
