Tristram Hill, a middle-aged writer, is frightened by the development of his current novel as it seems to imitate the sexual triangle created when his wife Isobel started an affair with his former lover, Mark. `Days' is the diary he keeps, in which his life and his fictional world begin to interreact startlingly as he explores the tangled complications of the three-way relationship. Ingenious and full of suspense, the story moves swiftly to a dramatic conclusion.
About the Author: `Days' is Harry Guest's first work of fiction. He is well-known as poet (`Arrangements', `The Cutting-Room', `Penguin Modern Poets 16', `A House Against the Night') and as translator (`Post-War Japanese Poetry').

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Acceptable. 1st Edition. Book looks almost new in red boards with gilt lettering on spine - apart from marks on front and back end-papers. Dust jacket looks well-worn, with discolouring and some chipping at top, crease on back. The author was better-known as a poet, 'Days' being his first work of fiction - in slightly experimental form, it's in the form of a diary kept by a bisexual middle-aged writer when his wife starts a relationship with his former, male lover, exploring the tangled complications of a three-way relationship.
