Item description from seller

FIRST EDITION, pp. 103, crown 8vo, original green pebble-grained cloth, backstrip with printed label (spare label tipped-in at rear), dustjacket lightly dustsoiled with a couple of little nicks, very good. Scarce as a first edition. The Introduction by Compton Mackenzie opines more on promise than fulfilment, offering some definite criticisms amongst the qualified praise. The poet went on to publish volumes in translation from the French, as well as other European languages. A Glossary of Scots words is appended at the rear of this collection.
