Signed, inscribed and dated, by the author on the dedication page as follows: "Nov. 5, 2012/To Kathy/Best Wishes/Jerry Cowling/". The author of the book is the great-great-great-grandson of David Crockett through his daughter Margaret from his first marriage to Polly Finley. As a work of fiction, the novel does not represent the historical David Crockett but a replication to illustrate dramatic conflict. 245 pages, 28 chapters, there is no creasing on the spine itself. There is light wear at the head and tail of the spine and at corners and a crease on the front cover about 3/8 of an inch from the spine. Interior of book is clean and binding is tight. A very nice copy; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed.
