Jacket has light wear, binding sound, light foxing to endpages, internally clean. From the jacket blurb: "Conspiracy and intrigue surround this account of an actual World War II incident. After the German surrender in May 1945, the Germans demand their return as traitors and, for reasons shrouded in secrecy, the Canadians not only comply with the request, but supply the unarmed Germans with guns for the execution. Institutional face-saving adds unexpected dimensions to the bizarre and provoking drama of two human pawns, 'David and Max'." The author has fictionalized some of the names and characters where he felt , in fairness, he did not have all the facts bearing on their participation.…
