Learn to build complete C# database applications entirely within Visual Studio 2026—without installing SQL Server Management Studio.
C# Database Programming Made Easy with Visual Studio 2026, Second Edition is a practical, step-by-step guide for beginners, students, lecturers, self-learners, and developers who want to create professional Windows Forms database applications using C#, SQL Server LocalDB, SQL Server Object Explorer, ADO.NET, LINQ, and modern .NET tools.
This extensively revised second edition uses Visual Studio 2026 as the central development environment. You will learn how to design Windows Forms interfaces, create and manage LocalDB databases, write and test SQL queries, connect C# applications to SQL Server, debug errors, and organize complete projects—all from within Visual Studio.
The book contains plenty of screenshots that clearly illustrate Visual Studio settings, form designs, database tools, project configurations, application outputs, and important development steps. These visual guides make it easier to follow each lesson and reproduce the projects on your own computer.
You will begin with database fundamentals and gradually progress to complete, practical business applications. Topics include:
-
Installing and configuring Visual Studio 2026 for database development
-

Each project brings together database design, interface development, validation, CRUD operations, searching, reporting, and practical business workflows.
The complete source code for some projects and examples is available on GitHub, allowing you to download, study, run, modify, and extend the applications. Combined with the book’s numerous screenshots and detailed explanations, these downloadable resources provide a complete hands-on learning experience.
By the end of the book, you will have the knowledge and confidence to design and build reliable C# Windows Forms database applications for schools, shops, offices, inventory systems, payroll operations, sales systems, and other organizations.
