Weidenfeld and Nicolson, London, 1975; 8vo, 145 x 220mm; pp xi, 258; eight plates, generally with more than one image; red boards, spine titled gilt, no dust wrapper but a very good, bright copy. . . . . . Frances Stevenson was the devoted lover of David Lloyd George for thirty years, eventually marrying in 1943 after the death in 1941 of his wife, Margaret. This is an account of that relationship between the charismatic Liberal prime minister and a young woman teacher who had became a tutor to his younger daughter before the relationship began.
