I never intended to step into a world where secrets are more valuable than gold and danger lurks behind velvet curtains-but when you're chasing a story, you don't always get to choose the risks. My sister disappeared months ago, vanishing into thin air, and every lead has been a dead end-until now. The moment I found myself in Dominic Westbrook's orbit, everything changed. He's charming, sharp as a knife, and far too used to being the most dangerous man in the room. And me? I'm just a journalist with more curiosity than sense. At least, that's what everyone assumes. They don't know I've spent my whole life pushing boundaries. But this time, the stakes are higher. Following Dominic means walking into a maze of whispers and alliances where trust is currency and betrayal comes at a deadly cost. Viktor Kane, a shadow with too many names and too few answers, is just the tip of the iceberg, and Dominic seems to hold the map I need. The problem? I can't tell if he's my ally or the man who will ruin me. The deeper I dig, the more I realize the line between truth and lies is thinner than I thought. And the closer I get to the truth about my sister, the more I realize I might not survive it. But I'm not backing down now. Not when I'm this close.
