Print on Demand. This book explores the enduring debate surrounding the authorship and authenticity of the Book of Daniel, a pivotal text within the Hebrew Bible. The author meticulously examines arguments put forth by both traditionalists and critics who challenge the book's traditional dating to the 6th century BC. The book delves into the historical context of the Book of Daniel, scrutinizing its accuracy, language, and thematic elements to dissect claims that it was actually written centuries later during the Maccabean revolt. The author meticulously analyzes various alleged inaccuracies within the book, such as the mention of Belshazzar as King of Babylon, Danielââ â¢s perceived age, and the presence of Aramaic and Persian words. The book presents a compelling historical argument, drawing on ancient texts and archaeological discoveries to illuminate the historical context of the bookââ â¢s composition, ultimately seeking to resolve the ongoing debate surrounding its origins. Ultimately, the book offers a thought-provoking analysis of the Book of Daniel, illuminating its significance within a broader historical and literary landscape. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. …

Recent years have witnessed, among scholars, a questioning of the traditional dates and authorship of many of the books of the Old Testament. The dates Of some of the books have been changed by more than a thousand years. Books attributed hitherto to one author have been declared of composite authorship; the various conjectured authors living hundreds of years apart. Much ingenuity has been exercised in tracing the supposed originals, emendations and recensions.
