Item description from seller
Have you ever thought about how a beetle pollinates? Or what hermit crabs think when they find a new shell? Have you ever confused a cobra with a rat snake? Or wondered where all the bumblebees suddenly vanished? Within these glorious pages are the answers to all these questions and many more about the various small astonishing creaturesscorpions, centipedes, frogs and crustaceansthat populate our world. There are poems about the industrious weaver birds and their house-building skills; the jiggly-wiggly octopus; the frogs that dance to attract attention; Pooch, the adorable mongoose; stick insects and chameleons that hide in plain sight; the spider who likes to live in debris to catch its prey; and the offended cockroach who has some complaints to share. Witty, charming, full of fascinating facts and quirky illustrations, Dancing Frogs is a brilliant tribute to the oft-forgotten but invaluable creatures on Earth. This book is a must read for nature and poetry lovers alike.
