This is the famous poem "Uncle Styopa" by Sergey Mikhalkov, presented in a classic 1959 Detgiz edition featuring the iconic illustrations of Konstantin Rotov. The book tells the story of Stepan Stepanov, the tallest, kindest, and most fearless hero in Soviet children's literature. Thanks to his giant height, incredible strength, and generous heart, Uncle Styopa is always there to save the day—whether rescuing a drowning boy, preventing a train crash, or helping anyone in need. This rare Soviet-era edition perfectly blends the author's light, memorable verse with the expressive, humorous artwork of a master illustrator, making it a true treasure for both family reading and book collectors. Amateur spine repair, cover stains.
