About the Author: E. Walter Snyder, engineer, antique car collector, and Ex-Navy Photographic Intelligence Officer in World War II, volunteer fireman, contractor, describes himself as "just a plumber." Married for 65 years, he is the father of two daughters whose constant pleas for stories about life in the "Dark Ages" was the inspiration for this book of memoirs.
