(Bridson & Wakeman Printmaking & picture printing A47; Levis Descriptive bibliography of books relating to. engraving p108-9) Levis notes that 'The [last] chapter [Books on Engraving] is brief and not very satisfactory, but all the others are of great interest', while Bridson & Wakeman note that the text of this work originally appeared as a series of articles in the ninth edition of Encyclop�dia Britannica.

We are located some 20 minutes drive from the M6, Junction 38 and therefore only a 20 mile detour from the main England-Scotland route. Appleby is a town well worth a visit, the coffee pot is always on though refreshment with �a little more authority' can be had if the Crown & Cushion in the town's market square is open!
