Item description from seller

A condensed edition of Donellus on Roman Civil Law. Folio. Two volumes in one. Complete with half-title. Title page printed in red and black. Bound in contemporary blindstamped vellum, manuscript titles to spine. A very good copy. The covers are bowed, and a little stained and worn. The original vellum ties are wanting. Internally it is generally clean. Paper flaw to one leaf repaired internally. The most important systematic treatment of Roman civil law produced by French legal humanism. This edition is uncommon in commerce. While some 43 copies are recorded by USTC, no other copies are recorded by Rare Book Hub.
