It names 114 places across 241 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries ten reports, narratives and plans, seven Operation Orders and three diagrams. Among the papers are: Administrative instructions France No.1; 52nd Divisional Train order No. 18; After order to 52nd Divisional Train order No. 21; 52nd Divisional Train Administrative instructions No.2; 52 Divisional Train Administrative Instruction No.3; Report on Supplies in Re-Captured Areas.The diary opens at Jaffa on 1 April 1918. 1918 is the most travelled year, 171 places against 10 in the next busiest, and is spent at La Targette, Baudour, Maisieres, Mont St Eloy and Neuville St Vaast. 1919 is spent at Maisieres, Soignies and Maizieres. It closes at Soignies on 31 May 1919. Maisieres is where it spent longest, 257 days across ten separate stays, including a single unbroken stay of 59 and it came back to Baudour twelve separate times.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Doffines Farm.In 1918 it is also recorded at Khurbet Hadra, Surgfend, Surafend, Ludd, Kantara, Alexandria, H.M.T Indarra, Sidi Bishr, Marseilles and Lannoy.
