Marbled boards with recent gilt-lettered sp., fr.outer edges and back outer edge have 1 cm rubbed or faded strips. 60 pp.; opening 32-33 has some penciling in childish hand copying part of text, this fairly faint but resists full erasure, otherwise tight and clean bar a few minor marks of little consequence. No end-papers issued, paste-downs generally clean but 2 short words and v. sm,brown square top fr. and traces of erased penciling top back plus short thin brown 3.5 cm strip across bottom from gutter. First published in 1715 this now appears to be remarkably scarce. It includes, Song XX, the famous, and famously arodied by Lewis Carrol the verses beginning 'How doth the little busy bee/ Improve each shining hour'.
