The maladies discussed are very common but very stub born and particularly annoying and painful. My chief care has been to include the most recent and effective methods of cure and to give these comprehensively and succinctly, know ing a busy doctor will not search for therapeutic or operative technic hidden in verbose phrasing. Nor do I quote many cases only slightly dissimilar, but rather those of rare finding or needed for the elucidation of methods advised.
