ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
A young girl lost in a Europe that’s at war, and her mother’s journey to find her; this is a moving story about World War II.
"Then, in front of Mathilde, a glance was enough for him to realize that there was nothing he could do for her. Mathilde moved her arm, took out a photograph from her pocket and whispered, "Tell Marie that I love her." Paul put the girl’s picture away and kissed Mathilde's face. From that moment on, nothing would ever be the same."
Jacinto Rey constructs a novel which displays a tapestry of stories carried out by human beings beaten by a war that pushes them to their core. Actions and emotions come together to give meaning to the writer’s words, which are the driving force of an emotional search.
