4to. 9.5 x 7.5 inches. xxix + [i] + 169 pp. Bound in original blue cloth, gilt, with gilt oval on front board, in unclipped dust wrapper, which has minor edge wear. Extremities worn at lower edge and damp stained. Lower edges rough cut and slight browning of flyleaves; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by portrait frontispiece protected by tissue guards and by three facsimile plates. Diary entries for 1626-38 and 1653-54 kept by Thomas Crossfield (1603-63), Fellow of Queen's College, Oxford and Rector of Spennithorne, Yorks, 1649- A source of information for College and University life of this period.
