In "DECIPHERING THE MYTH OF EVERYTHING", we explore Betty Friedan's provocative phrase — "You can have it all! But not all at the same time." — through a deep and revealing analysis of the contemporary condition. This book navigates the complexities of the search for fulfillment in a fragmented world, where we are constantly pressured to maximize all dimensions of our existence.
What you will find in this book:
- A conceptual cartography of the multiple dimensions of "everything"—professional, relational, maternal, civic, and reflective
- Comparative analyses of male and female experiences in the search for plenitude
- Eye-opening case studies on identity fragmentation at global companies like Google, Amazon, and Goldman Sachs
- Philosophical perspectives of Charles Taylor, Paul Ricoeur and Hans-Georg Gadamer applied to the organizational context
- Concrete strategies for narrative integration and biographical coherence in a fragmented corporate world
After reading, you will be able to:
- Understand the psychological mechanisms behind craving for "everything"
- Develop strategies to reimagine wholeness within the limits of human finitude
- Build a more coherent narrative self despite fragmenting pressures
- Transform limitations into sources of empowerment and growth
- Consciously navigate between conflicting priorities without falling into the trap of multidimensional maximization
This book is especially valuable for:
- Professionals in highly competitive corporate environments
- People looking to balance career, relationships, and personal development
- Organizational leaders interested in a more sustainable corporate culture
- Students of philosophy, psychology and management
- Anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by the pressure of "having it all"
"DECIPHERING THE MYTH OF EVERYTHING" does not offer simplistic solutions, but rather a deep dive into the ecology of human flourishing. It is an invitation to abandon the paradigm of scarcity/abundance and discover a new way of understanding fulfillment and purpose in the age of hyperabundance.
Transform your relationship with ambition, expectation, and achievement. Discover how true wholeness can arise not from unbridled accumulation, but from heightened presence in the dimensions that truly matter to you.
